We are expecting baby #3, team green, but decided to do NIPT testing due to a couple of previous losses. When l filled out the paperwork, the nurse asked if I wanted to find out the sex of the baby, and I said no. She said she was still going to mark yes on the form so that they would have the info, just in case they needed it, or in case we changed our minds.
Have you received results from a Natera NIPT test before? I’m worried that I can’t look at my results without the sex of the baby being revealed to me. When I open the results, what will I see?
Thanks for your help!
Editing to add: thanks for the responses! It sounds like my best bet will be to call my OB office to be on the super safe side. I appreciate your help!

I got my Natera results today and before you see the results it prompts you to choose if you want to see them with the gender or without
You basically can’t miss this prompt so don’t worry!

I am team green with Natera and just researched this ALOT from old posts on here. My research: alot of the people that wanted to find out gender mention it asks when you get results. Which sounds great, until I read all the posts for the people that didn't want gender. Quite a few people said it asked, they said no, and it still showed it.
Because of that I decided to just call my OB. I left a message that I didn't want to accidentally see gender on the portal so please call with genetic results. The nurse called back and that's how I got them. It was just too 50/50 with Natera on folks accidentally seeing them.

I just checked yesterday. My results were a cluster. But it did ask me twice if I wanted to see without gender.

My OB told me that it will show me regardless (we’re doing gender reveal) so she told me not to open the results when I get it but instead call the office and ask for the results over the phone without the gender. That’s what we’re planning on doing. Hopefully if everything comes back normal I’m just going to give the results to my sister-in-law since she’s throwing the gender reveal party.
